Son Slaughter’s Father for reporting him to police in Sheema District.

SHEEMA: Police in Sheema District have launched a manhunt for a 28 years old Man for allegedly Slaughtering his biological father, for opening a case against him on Police for stealing Coffee.

The suspect on run has been identified as Bitwire Julius a boda boda rider and a resident of kyabahija cell who allegedly killed Tiburisiyo Bitwire 70 his father a peasant and a resident of kyabahija 2 cell, both from kakindo town council in Sheema district.

It’s alleged that on Monday the suspect stole the coffee of his father (deceased) who went and reported the matter to Kakindo Police station.

On Tuesday a team of Police officers went to arrest the suspect but unfortunately he took off and went into hiding and came back at around 08:50 PM while the late father Tiburisiyo Bitwire was eating supper with his grandchildren, picked the panga and cut him to death and ran to unknown destination.

The Greater Bushenyi Region Police spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident saying that the crime scene was visited by D/CID/O, homicide team and SOCO and documented it.

Marcial added that the officers discovered deep cuts on the leg and on the neck, that the deceased had over bled and had reported a case of theft of coffee against the suspect at Kakindo Police station.

The Greater Bushenyi Region Police spokesperson further said that the Police recovered the killer weapon and relevant statements were also recorded from witnesses as efforts to arrest the suspect on the run and also, a murder case registered at Sheema Police Station on CRB. /2024.
