The first incident involves the sudden death of a male adult known as Rasta, who died on the night of May 13, 2025, at Kigongi “A” cell, Kabale municipality.

Rasta’s body was discovered by Asiimwe Ashim the next morning with signs of vomiting, and the cause is suspected to be overboozing without eating. A case file of sudden death was opened, and his body was taken for examination.

In another incident, a suspected murder occurred in Kakabano cell, Upper Bugongi ward, Kabale municipality, during the night of May 13, 2025.

The body of Nsenga, a Cobra resident, was found in an open field with blood oozing from his mouth and nose.

A team of police officers, including the acting D/CID Officer and Homicide detectives, visited and processed the scene.

A third incident involves an unidentified male adult’s body discovered floating in a river at Mushenyi “A” village, Butanda sub-county.

The area chairman reported the matter to Butanda police, and a case file of suspected murder was opened. The homicide team visited the scene, documented it, and retrieved the body.

Kigezi Police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate appeals to anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigations. Anyone missing a loved one is also advised to visit the hospital mortuary for identification.

The three deceased bodies are currently at Kabale Regional Hospital Mortuary as police work to establish the circumstances surrounding these tragic incidents and bring perpetrators to justice.
