Kasese, Uganda – Kasese Police last week on Friday donated assorted food items and essentials to the Bridge for Peace Orphanage School within Kasese Municipality.
The donations including sugar, flour, soap, Pampers, salt, and more was handed over by SSP Odoch Dennis and other police officers.
According to the Rwenzori East Region-Kasese Police Spokesperson SP Nelson Tumushime, Bridge for Peace Orphanage School, home to 49 children, provides a nurturing environment and education to vulnerable kids.

Nelson confirmed that the police department’s gesture is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, demonstrating their commitment to caring for the needy, especially during the Lent season.
“This is part of Corporate Social responsibility of giving back to the community and also to show that as Police we care for the needy especially in this lent season,” said Nelson Tumushime.
Representing the school administration were Fr. Byaruhanga, chief catechist from the Kasese Catholic Diocese, and Mr. Tumusime Edwin, school warden.
This kind act showcases the police force’s dedication to giving back to the community and fostering positive relationships with local organizations.

Bridge for Peace Orphanage School is Located in Kasese Municipality, Uganda owning Three homes including; International Home, Mercy Home, St. Peter’s Home farm and a Primary school.
