Kampala, Uganda – Nagarama Police have rescued 51 people from AIM GLOBAL ALLIANCE, a company accused of human trafficking and conning victims with false job promises.

The rescue mission was conducted on April 2, 2025, after authorities received a tip-off about the company’s illicit activities.

According to ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson, AIM GLOBAL ALLIANCE would allegedly promise victims job opportunities, only to demand UGX 150,000 for training.

The suspects, Kasule Zephaniah and Nantima Evelyn, would then use the victims’ phones to recruit friends and relatives, demanding UGX 1,500,000 to purchase products for resale.

Rusoke confirmed that the victims, comprising males and females, were found living in squalid conditions, with some rooms housing up to 20 people.

“It’s a sophisticated scam where victims are lured with job promises, then coerced into paying UGX 150,000 for ‘training’ and UGX 1,500,000 for products to sell. The scammers promise unrealistic earnings of up to UGX 1 million, depending on recruitment and sales. We urge the public to remain vigilant,” said ACP Kituuma Rusoke.

He added that the police carried out the rescue operation in several areas of Kalagi, including Kakola village, Kyabakadde parish, and Bbosa village.Kasule Zephaniah and Nantima Evelyn are currently detained at Nagalama police station; the rescue operation marks a significant milestone in the fight against human trafficking in the region.

AIM GLOBAL ALLIANCE has been linked to similar scams in the past, with reports of the company conning youths with promises of lucrative jobs.
