KASESE – The lifeless body of a husband was discovered hanging in a jackfruit tree over the weekend, following a domestic altercation with his wife in Kasese District.

Reports suggest that the deceased returned home heavily intoxicated and engaged in a heated verbal exchange with his spouse, Biira Mickline, during which he allegedly threatened to assault her.
During the course of the confrontation, the distressed man reportedly declared his intention to take his own life. At approximately 4:30 AM on that fateful Sunday morning, Kule mysteriously vanished from the family home.
The increasingly anxious wife alerted family members, sparking an extensive search that proved fruitless until 7:00 AM, when the deceased was found hanging from a jackfruit tree in neighbor Baluku Charles’s garden.
The Rwenzori East Regional Police spokesperson, ASP Elly Maate, confirmed that the matter was reported at Kisinga Police Station, prompting a swift response from officers who meticulously examined and documented the scene.
The body has since been conveyed to Bwera Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Maate described the incident as deeply saddening and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends.
“The case was reported at Kisinga Police Station. Our officers went there quickly and checked the scene carefully. The body has been taken to Bwera Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem. This is very sad news, and we send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends,” said Elly Maate.
The police further urge members of the public to seek professional help when dealing with relationship conflicts and emotional distress, reminding communities that mental health support services are available.
